For Child Care Centers, PreKs and Montessori Programs

Throughout the year, the County of San Diego Immunization Branch offers FREE immunization trainings for child care centers (family child care please see below).

These trainings teach center directors and staff to read immunization records, then correctly transcribe the information onto a Blue Card. All staff who transcribe immunization records are encouraged to attend. Classes are 2 hours in length. Pre-registration is highly recommended.

Free Training for Family Child Care Providers!
Watch "Bears, Blocks and Blue Cards" on the San Diego County Television Network (CTN) to for an introduction to immunization requirements for family child care providers. CTN is found on Cox Channel 19 (North), Cox Channel 24 (South), Time Warner 22 and Adelphia 66. This program provides an overview of the responsibilities of all child care providers and gives information on resources needed to comply with this law (although originally filmed for family child care providers, it also applies to child care center / preschool staff).
