STOP DISEASE! DON’T SPREAD IT!
These flu prevention materials were developed by the California
Department of Heath Services (DHS). Please share and post these
messages as part of the Do your part…be FLU SMART! county-wide
initiative.
Attached you
will find "flu alert" materials to display in medical
practices, hospitals, clinics, schools, churches, restaurants, retail
shops, child care centers, restrooms and other public places. Please
help us to distribute the following important public health messages
by downloading the following documents and distributing them throughout
the community.

Ideas for
Outreach
To help get messages into the community, the California Department
of Health Services has developed these materials for you to use.
Here are suggested placements:
- Public
Health Clinics
- Hospitals
and Medical Centers
- Schools
and Child Care Centers
- Public
Places/Private Spaces
Crowded
places with heavy foot traffic should be targeted for the multi-language
Stop Disease notices. The idea is to display such
public health messages at transportation portals, airports, and
as other heavy traffic areas, like malls. Private spaces (e.g.,
restroom walls, mirror, and stall doors) provide an excellent
place for one-on-one messages.
Cooperation
from the entire community will be important throughout this campaign.
