  IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS:
SCHOOL AND CHILD CARE		  

To prevent the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases, the California Immunization Law requires that children entering school or child care meet requirements for immunization against these diseases:

  • Polio
  • Diphtheria
  • Pertussis (whooping cough)
  • Hib (child care only) Haemophilus Influenza type b
  • Tetanus (lockjaw)
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
