The San Diego Regional Immunization Registry is a confidential,
centralized data storage system that enables medical providers to
access a child’s record of all immunizations received from
both the public and private sectors. With this information, consolidated
in one place, the provider can decide what additional shots that
child needs. Currently, more than 65 medical offices and clinics
in San Diego County actively use the Registry.
Whether you are a provider or
parent, the Registry can help you
keep children up-to-date and fully immunized.
The Registry:
- Keeps accurate records of a child's immunizations, no matter
where they were given.
- Calculates which vaccines are due at each medical visit.
- Forecasts the next due date so a reminder can be sent.
- Assists medical providers in documentation and avoids duplication.
- Is confidential, secure and easy to use.
- Saves time and money.
- Keeps San Diegans protected against vaccine preventable diseases.
Immunization Registries are endorsed by:
- American Academy of Pediatrics, California District IX
- California Academy of Family Physicians
- California Medical Association
- California School Nurses Organization
